Bayside Computing, Inc, ceased all web-based operations
including e-commerce as of Sunday afternoon August 19, 2001.
This URL was the Automated Software Mart—a software developers' resource site which addressed both popular and
promising technologies of its time. This fully automated site immediately delivered all retail purchases via e-mail following credit card approval.
Highly configurable BCI Java applets were available
for web site developers—many still provide value to licensed users—like those
driving animations or
graphing cartesian coordinates.
More products at the Automated Software Mart included written information and tech-tips for systems level programmers—such as an e-book form of
John Danilow's Embedded Systems Programming in C and Assembly, ISBN 0-442-01817-7, as well as disparate technical articles
published in prestigious periodicals like Dr. Dobb's Journal and Byte Magazine online, when Byte was a strong web presence.
Bayside Computing's ceased operations include a sister-site the 'Java Book Store'.
